I'm about to start a new round of edits for my upcoming children's novel SLEEPY JACK. This is my first attempt at writing for a younger audience and it's been an interesting challenge so far.

SLEEPY JACK is a spooky and fantastical children's fantasy epic about a young boy adventuring in a strange dreamlike world called the Inbetween. Jack is accompanied by his marvellously unusual friends: Bro-ca-ca-ca, Naughty Girl Yaya, and Sir Herbert Sherbert. Together, they journey through surreal locations like a classroom full of alphabet children, a clockwork forest and a stadium-sized candy-filled sweetshop. All the while, Jack is pursued by his relentless nemesis, the shadowy Dreamcatcher, who threatens to make him sleep 'forever and ever and then some'.

Ultimately, SLEEPY JACK tackles themes of friendship, sacrifice, and self-discovery as Jack strives to overcome his fears and find his way back home.
